I Yarn for Thee

I love knitting! I don't know what it is about it, but it's my escape from the world of whining, disrespectful students (and staff). I love going to the weekly Stitch 'n Bitch! Some of the other ladie refer to it as "Craft Night", but we know the truth, don't we!

I have only worked on squares and rectangles so far - scarves and dish clothes (some fancy ones too!), but I will be trying a hat in the near future...wish me luck!

Hey Rob: Have you mastered the purl stitch yet?

Your knitting is great and the scarf you made me is so warm and cozy.

I have an idea, why don't you make some and sell them on ebay...actually it's a little late for these holidays, but perhaps a thought for next year. Also you could sell them on craigsplace.com.
You'd probably do well. (could be craigslist.com)...not sure.

As soon as I get to a place that sells yarn I'm going to tackle the dish clothes...the ones you made for Howie were super...(actually I think you have a picture of them up in here)....those would sell great too.

Keep up the knitting...
(maybe one day you'll be knitting booties)...

Love ya
Mom

I would have to charge $90.00 - $120.00 per dishcloth if you take into consideration the amount of time it takes me to knit one!

She's beautiful, outdoorsy, shoots a gun AND KNITS!?

My Mum tried to teach me, but for the love of God, I couldn't do it. It was the exact opposite of relaxing for me!!

You are wicked and I am super impressed...

Joanne:

Why thank you my dear - I try my best! I did try my hand at my hat this evening...I think that may frustrate me!

Mom:

Mastered the purl? No! Tried the purl for the first time this evening? Yes!

I did alright...I messes up the first row, but the next two were alright.

For my hat, I had to cast on 78 stitches, then knit one row, and then start with the knit two, purl two. I ended up with 79 stitches after my first attempt and had to take off a number of stitches (with help from a friend) due to an error...but it's coming along (VERY SLOWLY!!!!)
